The Living Soil Alliance brings together Montana-licensed cannabis cultivators committed to living soil practices. Together, we share knowledge, build connections, and strengthen the future of regenerative cannabis in Montana.
Since 2024, our eight founding cultivators have worked to establish shared standards, governance, and a membership process. We’re excited to welcome more growers and shape the Alliance’s next chapter together.

Why join the LSA
Cultivation membership offers recognition and shared support that can be difficult to build on your own.
Build credibility: Members meet published standards and may use the LSA Trust Badge on packaging, storefronts, and marketing.
Reach more people: Opportunities include farm spotlights, original content, panels, Variety Packs, and events.
Help customers find you: Members receive a directory listing and map placement on the LSA website.
Learn and lead together: Connect with fellow cultivators and help shape the Alliance through committees and Board elections.
Who can join the LSA
Cultivation Members must:
Hold a Montana cultivation license in good standing.
Avoid synthetic salt-based nutrients and use transparent, responsible pest-management practices.
Use biologically active, reused living soil for primary flowering in beds or containers of at least 50 gallons.
Agree to the LSA Code of Conduct and collaborative values.
There’s no single “perfect” way to grow in living soil. Our standards establish a shared baseline while respecting different approaches.
